Job summary

Sylvania in Minnesota is seeking a Paraeducator Special Education to support students with disabilities in mainstream, resource room or center-based settings. This full-time role covers 184 days per year at 6.5 hours daily and may start after a 5-day posting period.

Duties include behavior management, progress monitoring across academics and daily living skills, and assisting with mobility and self-care tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification: Personal Care Assistant within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction for students with disabilities in various settings.
• Manage behavior and redirect or remove disruptive students as needed.
• Monitor and record student progress in academics and daily living skills.
• Assist with students' physical needs such as toileting, feeding, and dressing.
• Maintain regular attendance and support data collection and reporting.
