Job summary

Lake Elsinore Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator II - Special Education to support students 3 hours daily across Pre-K to adult programs. The role runs 7:30–10:30 and 12:00–3:00 per day, 182 days per year, with a pay range of $18.882–$24.852 per hour and district-paid vacation and holidays.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and passes a district proficiency exam, with fingerprint clearance and a negative TB test.

Qualifications

• Experience with school age children in educational settings.
• Knowledge of child development and instructional processes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated teacher(s) in classroom operation and instruction.
• Supervise students and help maintain a positive learning environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and equipment for classroom activities.
• Provide feedback on student progress to staff and maintain progress records.
• Administer tests and daily assignments; monitor student performance.
