Lake Elsinore Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator II for Preschool at Wildomar Elementary. The role supports teachers, supervises students, and assists with routine clerical tasks in a 6-hour workday (8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) with 182 days per year.

The position requires High School diploma, 12 ECE units, and a Child Development Permit within six months. Candidates must pass required screenings and hold a valid CA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 12 ECE Units required.
• Child Development Permit within 6 months of employment.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, TB test and drug screen required.
• Valid California Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist preschool teachers in keeping children engaged to maximize learning.
• Help control behavior and resolve conflicts between children.
• Accompany teachers on home visits as needed.
• Assist with health care needs of children with special needs.
• Plan activities and projects to stimulate children's interests.
• Provide leadership and act as a positive example for children.
• Maintain supplies and keep classrooms orderly and clean.
• Accompany children on walks, park visits, and field trips.
• Assist with snacks and lunches; supervise rest and naptime.
• Perform basic clerical tasks to support the teacher.
