Job summary

Paraeducator II - Special Education (Physical Disabilities) at Lakeside High School within Lake Elsinore Unified School District is a part-time role working 6.5 hours per day, 182 days per year, from 7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Under direct supervision, you will assist certificated teachers, supervise students, prepare instructional materials, track progress, administer tests, and support students with special health care needs. Requires a high school diploma and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with school-age children encouraged.
• Ability to provide for health care needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated teachers in classroom operation and instruction.
• Supervise students to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and equipment for activities.
• Provide feedback on student progress to staff.
• Administer and correct tests and assignments.
• Maintain student records and track progress.
• Monitor students using equipment and instructional media.
• Supervise activities on campus and during trips.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups.
