Job summary

Lake Elsinore Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator II for Special Education (Physical Disabilities) at Canyon Lake Middle and David Brown Middle. This part-time position covers three hours per day with a split shift from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

and 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 182 days per year. You will assist certified teachers, supervise students, prepare materials, and help with health care needs, providing support in special programs and classrooms for students with identified

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with school-age children preferred.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, negative drug screen, TB test results required; pass district proficiency exam.
• First Aid and CPR certificates may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated teacher(s) in classroom operation and instruction.
• Supervise students to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and equipment; gather resources as needed.
• Provide feedback on student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Administer and correct tests and assignments.
• Monitor and manage instructional records and progress.
• Oversee use of equipment and instructional media.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups.
• Assist and track progress for students in core subjects as needed.
