Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools — Wy'East Middle School in Vancouver, WA — is seeking an Intervention Paraeducator to support instructional activities with students, in a 4-hour daily schedule (12:05 p.m. – 4:05 p.m.), 190 days per year.

The role reports to the instructor/building principal and is contingent on grant funding. The ideal candidate will meet paraeducator qualifications, have a high school diploma or higher, and be capable of one-to-one or small-group support, data recording, and

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher, or passing ETS ParaPro with 461+.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with students in academic areas preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Confidentiality and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing social and/or academic interventions.
• One-to-one and small group instruction with students.
• Maintain a learning environment to accelerate academic and social progress.
• Record student progress accurately and timely.
• Attend trainings and stay up-to-date with the program.
