Job summary

Heritage High School in Vancouver, Washington is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students under the supervision of the Special Education instructor and building principal. This part-time position runs 6 hours daily from 8:45 a.m.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the qualifications: ParaPro score 455+, Associate degree or higher, 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits, or completion of a Paraeducator Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services and supports to students eligible for special education as directed by the teacher.
• Provide one-to-one and small group instruction to meet IEP goals.
• Maintain a productive learning environment and collect data on student progress.
• Assist with administering tests and implementing behavioral strategies.
