Job summary

Amergis is seeking a paraeducator in Lakeville to assist general and special education staff in implementing academic programs and behavior support plans. You will lead small groups, provide one-to-one follow-up, and ensure students stay on task while applying IEP accommodations.

Data collection and feedback to teachers are integral to the role. Responsibilities include supporting living skills, promoting positive interactions, and aiding transitions.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with IEPs and collaboration with general and special education teams.
• Ability to collect data, monitor progress, and provide feedback to teachers.
• Strong interpersonal skills for de-escalation and promoting positive interactions.

Responsibilities

• Support students academically, socially, and behaviorally in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Assist with daily living skills and classroom activities as directed by teachers.
• Implement student-specific accommodations and adaptations outlined in IEPs.
• Collect data on student participation and progress and report to educators.
• Assist with transitions and behavior plans as needed.
