Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college hours required with experience caring for children with disabilities.
• ISBE paraprofessional license required at time of employment.
• CPR training to be completed as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education teachers in elementary and high schools.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring and personal hygiene support.
• Assist in mobility, daily living skills, and operation of classroom equipment.
• Maintain records of student behavior and progress.
