Job summary

Gilbert Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional Specialist to support severely to moderately disabled students under the supervision of a certified teacher. You will adapt activities, assist with daily care, monitor progress, implement instructional plans, and document student growth.

This role involves collaborating with teachers and therapists, data collection for the Direct Service Claiming program, and ensuring a safe, structured learning environment on a 9-month school calendar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, 60 credits, or Para Pro Assessment passed.
• Valid Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• CPR/First Aid and CPI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapt activities and materials to include all students per IEPs.
• Assist with daily care tasks as needed to support student wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to meet learning goals.
• Record progress data and participate in Direct Service Claiming.
• Monitor students and ensure a safe classroom environment.
