Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree, 60 college credits, or Para Pro assessment required.
• Must possess a valid Arizona DPS Level One IVP Fingerprint Card while employed.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or maintained as requested.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities to support participation of special education students.
• Assists students with daily care needs to support learning and development.
• Confers with teachers and therapists for student needs and guidance.
• Supports instructional activities for individuals or small groups per IEP or benchmarks.
• Implements behavioral plans designed by IEP team for students with behavior needs.
• Provides instructional materials under supervision.
• Monitors students to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
• Records data for Direct Service Claiming (DSC) and reporting.
