Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials under the direction of the teacher to include all students in activities.
• Assists students requiring daily care (toileting, feeding, dressing, suctioning, tube feeding, lifting, positioning).
• Confers with teachers and therapists for student needs and direction.
• Supports instructional activities for individuals or small groups to meet IEP goals.
• Implements behavioral plans designed by IEP teams for students with behavior needs.
• Under supervision, provides instructional materials as needed by individual students.
• Monitors students for safety in lunch, playground, classroom, and field trips.
• Participates in recording, reporting and data gathering for Direct Service Claiming.
• Performs daily data and clerical record keeping.
• Responds to emergency situations to resolve safety concerns.

Education
