Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Para AUT-Mild-Level III in Special Education. This 40-hour position supports IEP goals, administers basic health care, and assists students with daily living activities. Requires PSC paraprofessional certificate and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Salary ranges from $29,102 to $45,094 annually and includes 190 scheduled days. Prior licensed child care experience is preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong interpersonal skills are

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with office and media equipment.
• Ability to represent Gwinnett County Public Schools professionally.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials to support IEP goals.
• Administer basic first aid as instructed by health professionals.
• Administer tests, homework and make-up work to support teachers.
• Assist medically fragile students with personal care needs.
• Assist students with daily living activities and grooming as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers to evaluate progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Implement data collection under supervision to reinforce learning.
• Monitor students to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Maintain records and support teacher with materials and attendance.
• Provide instruction in small and large groups to reinforce objectives.
• Respond to emergencies and apply crisis intervention techniques.
