Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with Parapro assessment requirements.
• 60 semester or 90 quarter hours from PSC-approved college or university.
• Paraprofessional Educator certificate issued by PSC is required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities to reinforce IEP goals and objectives.
• Administer first aid and medical assistance as instructed by health professionals.
• Administer tests, homework, and make-up work to support teachers.
• Assist students with disabilities with daily needs and grooming.
• Confer with teachers to evaluate progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Monitor students in various settings to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Maintain records and support functions like attendance and files.
• Provide instruction in small and large groups to reinforce objectives.
