Pulaski County Special School District is seeking a Special Education Para-Educator for Oakbrooke Elementary in Sherwood, Arkansas. This full-time role supports teachers and certified staff in implementing instructional programs and services for students with disabilities.

Starting immediately, the position involves classroom support, lesson preparation, behavior management, and basic medical assistance under the school nurse.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED and 60 credit hours, an associate's degree or higher, or completion of paraprofessional assessment.
• Ability to work with students with special needs.
• Reports to Building Principal and supports instructional staff.

Mansioni

• Implement instructional activities with students as directed by the teacher or principal.
• Assist in preparing lesson plans, instructional materials, and data collection.
• Be prepared to perform instructional duties as prescribed.
• Learn curriculum content for the classes assisted.
• Apply behavior management techniques as directed by staff.
• Assist with students' physical needs and related tasks as required.
• Administer medications and other supports as directed by the school nurse.
• Maintain daily work schedules and assist with classroom maintenance.
• Support lunch, recess, bus duties, and other school activities.
• Participate in inservices and staff meetings; follow Board policies.
