Job summary

Quincy Public Schools in Quincy, Massachusetts seeks a Junior Clerk Typist for the Special Education Office to support a busy high school at the front desk and in the clerical area. You will handle data entry, form preparation, records maintenance, and basic bookkeeping tasks as needed.

The position is 192 days per year with a starting pay of $25 per hour. Applicants must meet MA DHR certification/eligibility requirements; provisional appointments may be offered where exams have not been held.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or eligible for permanent appointment as a senior clerk and typist per MA DHR.
• Perform moderately complex clerical duties, data entry, and statistics; maintain records.
• May handle payrolls, cash receipts, and double-entry books occasionally.
• Knowledge of ASPEN, AESOP, MUNIS, NAVIANCE.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with parents, students, and staff in a busy high school office.
• Supervision of a small number of clerical employees may occur.
