Qualifications

• Two years post high school education or equivalent knowledge.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Ability to assist in instruction of reading, writing, and math.
• One year paid or volunteer experience with children in educational or child-care setting desirable.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of employment and student matters.
• Ability to manage time and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel in developing instructional materials.
• Assist in presenting learning materials and exercises aligned with IEPs.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups.
• Monitor and assist students during drills, practice, and study activities.
• Supervise special education students in classroom, on trips, on playground, and on bus duty.
• Assist in maintaining reports and records; perform clerical duties.
