Job summary

Northwestern Counseling & Support Services in Saint Albans, VT, is seeking an Educational Team Leader to guide Soar Learning Center's academic and special education program. You will lead staff, coach teachers, and ensure IEP services align with Vermont standards.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on staff development, collaboration with families and districts, and data-driven program improvements while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for students.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in educational settings.
• Strong coaching and feedback skills for teachers.
• Ability to coordinate curriculum, IEP services, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of Soar’s academic and special education programming.
• Ensure curriculum, instruction, IEP services, accommodations, and modifications are implemented consistently.
• Provide instructional coaching through classroom observations, feedback, modeling, and follow-up.
• Supervise, support, coach, and develop teachers and educational staff.
• Coordinate educational schedules, staffing, coverage, and continuity of instruction.
• Support staff participation in IEP, evaluation, transition, and planning meetings with families and districts.
• Oversee records, progress reporting, and academic assessments.
• Monitor progress data to guide instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with families and school partners.
