Job summary

LEARN Academy, based in Palo Alto, CA, seeks a Special Education Supervisor to lead and supervise special education services across assigned school settings. You will guide IEP development, ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, and support staff to deliver high-quality programs for students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in relevant field.
• At least 5 years of school-based special education experience.
• State license/certification and appropriate discipline credentials required.
• Pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee special education programs and ensure compliance with federal, state, district, and school requirements.
• Maintain regular in-person presence at assigned school site to support staff and ensure program quality.
• Lead, coach, and develop special education staff through observations and professional development.
• Support development and implementation of IEPs, including meetings and data collection.
• Develop and deliver training based on staff needs and priorities.
• Build relationships with school and district leaders, families, and staff.
• Monitor program performance through audits and data to identify improvements.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruiting and outreach.
• Support new business development, contract renewals, and partnerships.
• Stay current on laws and standards to improve programs and student outcomes.
