Job summary

Cobb County School District’s Lindley Middle School in Mableton, GA seeks a Part-Time Teacher for Special Education IRR to develop and provide an appropriate program for eligible learners. The role focuses on collaboration with families and implementing individualized plans in ES, MS, and HS contexts.

The educator will design and monitor IEPs, coordinate with the principal and leadership division, and ensure compliant, data-driven instruction and behavioral supports within the district framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; GACE Basic Skills and GACE Special Education tests or Adaptive Content test required or exempted
• Written and oral communication essential; knowledge of disability areas and SPED practices; instructional strategies linking curriculum to learners

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Develops and reviews each student’s IEP annually.
• Works with parents/guardians in all aspects of their child’s educational program.
• Maintains timely and accurate paperwork.
• Delivers educational services per program guidelines and delivery model.
• Ensures due process protections for students and parents.
• Implements data-driven behavior management strategies including FBAs and BIPs.
• Collaborates with general education teachers supporting students with disabilities.
