Job summary

Summit Academy Management in Akron, OH is seeking an Intervention Specialist to provide specially designed instruction aligned with IEPs and collaborate with teachers and service providers to set measurable goals. You will support students on your caseload, follow district policies, and contribute to a positive classroom environment while adhering to Ohio standards and curriculum guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and licensure in Special Education (Intervention Specialist).

• Valid Ohio teaching certificate or license.
• -
• Background clearance from Ohio BCI and FBI.
• -
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• -
• Ability to generate, record, and maintain information and statistical data.
• -
• Knowledge of Ohio’s Learning Standards and the Ohio Department of Education Model Curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide specially designed instruction to students in accordance with their IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers and service providers to develop measurable IEP goals.
• Determine appropriate accommodations and interventions for students’ IEPs.
• Complete IEP progress reports for students on the caseload.
• Attend IEP and IAT meetings as requested.
