Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and licensure in Special Education (Intervention Specialist).
• Valid Ohio teaching certificate or license.
• Appropriate criminal background clearance from the Ohio Bureau of Identification and Investigation and the FBI.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to generate, record, and maintain information and statistical data.
• Ability to administer, score, and interpret tests of individual achievement.
• Knowledge of Ohio's Learning Standards and the Ohio Department of Education Model Curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide specially designed instruction to students in accordance with their IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers and service providers to develop individualized, objective, and measurable goals and objectives for IEPs.
• Determine appropriate accommodations and interventions for students’ IEPs.
• Complete IEP Progress Reports for students on the caseload.
• Attend IEP and IAT meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Special Education policies and regulations.
• Follow Summit Academy's Instructional Design.
