Qualifications

• Current Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist Licensure in Ohio.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers/ staff/community.
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience preferred in an urban education setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Ability to meet established deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure students with disabilities receive equitable learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement IEP goals and provisions.
• Deliver instruction in classroom or intervention settings to meet IEP goals.
• Allocate time per IEP services and learning objectives.
• Provide recommendations to teachers to meet student needs.
• Communicate progress to Principal when students lag or excel.
• Develop behavior plans and monitor progress.
• Assist with designing interventions and monitoring response to intervention for students not identified for special education.
• Meet IEP and ETR compliance deadlines.
• Maintain and update Special Education files and related forms.
• Coordinate with Speech and Language services to ensure compliance with speech-only IEPs.
• Write IEPs and gather classroom data to craft measurable goals.
• Facilitate IEP/ETR team meetings and document outcomes.
• Use school software to document IEPs and progress.
