Job summary

Performance Academies in Columbus, OH seeks an Intervention Assistant to support students with disabilities. The role collaborates with teachers, parents, administrators and specialists to deliver targeted interventions aligned with IEPs and behavioral plans.

You will prepare service logs, assist with lesson planning and coordinate with the Director of Student Services to ensure students receive appropriate supports and progress toward goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Valid and current Ohio Teaching License.
• Satisfactory completion of federal and state criminal history checks.
• Stays current on federal and state special education policies and laws.
• Experience with data analysis.
• Proficient in Google Docs, MS Office, email and internet.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, principals and service providers to meet student needs.
• Provide high-quality service delivery to students with IEPs, 504 Plans, and/or BIPs.
• Push-in, co-teach in general education and pull out for interventions as indicated.
• Prepare and submit intervention service logs and test prep logs.
• Develop and share lesson plans and service schedules with leadership.
• Advocate for students with special needs within school and community.
