Job summary

ACCEL Schools in Columbus, Ohio, is hiring an Intervention Specialist for South Columbus Preparatory Academy - German Village. You will support students with educational, behavioral, and social needs, collaborate with teachers, and help implement IEPs.

The role emphasizes inclusive practices, data-driven instruction, and engagement with families. Qualifications include knowledge of state standards, experience with Co-Teaching, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience working in a full room inclusion model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• High level of comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities and assisting in intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities such as events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
