Job summary

The successful candidate will follow directions, collaborate with teachers, protect student confidentiality, and may assist with ADL tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Familiar with student IEPs and able to implement specialized instruction with supervision.
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate with teachers and specialists.
• Capable of collecting behavior data and applying de-escalation strategies.
• Maintains student confidentiality at work and after hours.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions and meet the expectations of supervising staff.
• Implement specialized instruction and social-emotional/behavioral strategies under supervision.
• Implement de-escalation strategies and behavior plans; collect behavior data.
• Be child-centered and collaborate with teachers and supervisors as requested.
• Maintain student confidentiality at all times and in all settings.
• Understand disabilities in the classroom and ask for information when unclear.
• Carry out related duties which may include ADL tasks as assigned.
