Job summary

Marblehead Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support students with disabilities at Marblehead High School. The role involves implementing specialized instruction in classrooms and at internships, under the Special Education Administrator's supervision.

This 30-hour-per-week position emphasizes collaboration with teachers and maintaining student confidentiality. Experience with IEPs is beneficial; current MA driver’s license and ability to support transportation to job sites

Qualifications

• Approach all interactions through an anti-ableism lens.
• Experience in ABA is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to receive training in crisis management and de-escalation.
• Some positions require ability to move quickly with students and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing specialized instruction for students with disabilities.
• Follow student IEPs and behavior plans under supervision.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and specialists.
• Maintain student confidentiality at all times.
• Support transportation and supervision of students to job sites.
