Cambridge-Isanti School District 911 Woodland Campus/Moving Forward in Isanti, Minnesota is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant for a long-term substitute position. You will support students aged 18–22 with academics, life skills, and behavior, under the guidance of the classroom teacher and Special Education staff.

Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, ParaPro testing or 60 college credits, and a background check; experience with children is preferred.

Job Description

Qualifications/Experience: High School Diploma/GED and passed ParaPro/Para Educator testing (or 60 college credits) required. A successful background check is required.

Prefer experience working with children.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed: Patience, flexibility, love for older students, confidentiality, teamwork, self-starter, takes direction easily, excellent communication skills, behavior management skills, assist in the classroom and in special education classroom.

Specific Tasks: Work with students (ages 18-22) throughout the day assisting with academics, life skills, and behavior. Refocus the student in the classroom, de-escalate negative behavior, recognize and acknowledge positive behavior, and work cooperatively with the classroom teacher and Special Education staff. Hours Per Day: 6.5 hours/day

Long term substitute position from approx. to 10/5/26 to approx. 12/23/26. As per contract
