Job summary

Cambridge-Isanti School District 911 Woodland Campus/Moving Forward in Isanti, Minnesota is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant for a long-term substitute position. You will support students aged 18–22 with academics, life skills, and behavior, under the guidance of the classroom teacher and Special Education staff.

Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, ParaPro testing or 60 college credits, and a background check; experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and ParaPro/Para Educator testing (or 60 college credits) required.
• A successful background check is required.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with students (ages 18-22) assisting with academics, life skills, and behavior; refocus in classroom and de-escalate negativity.
• Increase student independence and collaborate with classroom teacher and Special Education staff.
• Assist in the classroom and in special education settings; perform other duties as assigned by supervising teacher.
