Cambridge Intermediate School is seeking a Special Education Instructional Assistant for a long-term substitute position. You will support students with behavior and academics, collaborating with the general and special education staff during a 6.5-hour day.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with ParaPro/Para Educator testing (or 60 college credits) and a successful background check. Reliability, patience, and effective communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Assist students with behavior and academics throughout the day.
Refocus students in the classroom and de-escalate negative behavior.
Recognize and acknowledge positive behavior and support the classroom teacher and Special Education staff.
Help increase independence in children and perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher.
