Cambridge-Isanti School District 911 Woodland Campus/Brookside in Isanti, Minnesota seeks an Academic Behavior Manager to support students throughout the day, assisting with behavior and academics in collaboration with teachers and special education staff.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED (or 60 college credits), passes a background check, and shows patience, confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Successful background check required.
• Prefer experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Work with student throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics.
• Refocus the student in the classroom, de-escalate negative behavior, recognize and acknowledge positive behavior, work cooperatively with classroom teacher and Special Education staff.
• Work to increase independence in children.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher.

Job Description

Qualifications/Experience:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:

• Patience, flexibility, love for children, confidentiality, team work, self starter, take direction easily, excellent communication skills, behavior management skills, assist in the classroom and in special education classroom.


• Applicant will work with students on health plans.

Specific Tasks:

• Work with student throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics.
