Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• ESSA Title I schools: meet ESSA requirements and one of the following: six semester hours in early childhood education, or two years of work experience in an early childhood setting.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers in coordinating instructional programs for special education students and IEPs.
• Assists with implementing behavioral intervention plans.
• Organizes materials and prepares supplies per lesson plan.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information (FERPA).
• Promotes a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Provides one-on-one or small-group support as needed to facilitate student progress.
• Assists with assistive technology and AAC devices as required.
• Maintains and files required reports and records.
• Participates in district professional development.
