Job summary

The School District of Springfield Township is seeking candidates to serve as an Instructional Assistant, supporting students with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher and principal.

The position includes duties during Youth and Government activities before/after school and on weekends, with emphasis on building an inclusive classroom community and assisting with related responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with students with special needs is preferred.
• Must enjoy working with children.
• Must meet PA requirements: 2 years postsecondary (48 credits) or an associate degree or higher or Paraeducator Credential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and serving students with disabilities under the special education teacher and principal.
• Support students with special needs during Youth and Government (YAG) activities before/after school and on weekends.
• Follow supervisor instructions and perform other job-related duties as requested.
• Conform to district policies and contribute to an inclusive school environment.
