This role includes helping during Interact Club activities before or after school and on weekends throughout the school year.

Candidates should have experience with special needs and enjoy working with children. Meeting PA qualification requirements or pursuing the Paraeducator Credential is required or

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.

Must enjoy working with children.

Must be considered highly qualified in the state of PA by completing at least one of the listed requirements below:

• a. Have completed at least 2 years of postsecondary study (48 credits) or


• b. Possess an associated degree or higher or


• c. Meet a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a State or local assessment (Paraeducator Credential of Competence).

Description:

The Instructional Assistant fills a critical role in implementing and serving students with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher and principal.

The position will work supporting students with special needs during Interact Club activities before or after school/weekends during the school year.
