Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain Substitute Teaching Certificate.
• Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance.
• Knowledge of basic math and reading/writing.
• Ability to collaborate with staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by preparing and presenting instructional materials.
• Support students' learning, social development and daily routines.
• Attend meetings and trainings to receive and convey information.
• Communicate progress with teachers for needs assessments.
• Document observations of student performance for records.
• Escort students to ensure welfare.
• Guide special education students in personal interactions.
• Maintain instructional files and records.
• Monitor student performance and provide feedback.
• Report health and safety issues to staff and agencies.
• Support students in various educational environments.
• Perform other related duties as required.
