The School District of Springfield Township is seeking candidates to serve as an Instructional Assistant, supporting students with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher and principal.

Qualifications

• Must be considered highly qualified in the state of PA by completing at least one of the listed requirements below:
  
  
  • a. Have completed at least 2 years of postsecondary study (48 credits) or
  
  
  • b. Possess an associated degree or higher or
  
  
  • c. Meet a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a State or local assessment (Paraeducator Credential of Competence).

Description

The Instructional Assistant fills a critical role in implementing and serving students with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher and principal.

The position will work supporting students with special needs duringYouth and Government (YAG) activities before or after school/weekends during the school year.
