Qualifications

• Must enjoy working with children.
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• PA-qualified: 2 years postsecondary study (48 credits) or an associate degree or higher or Paraeducator Credential of Competence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing each student’s IEP as scheduled.
• Document student information, needs, strengths, gains and problem areas.
• Maintain student records and assist with clerical tasks.
• Distribute, collect and monitor student work.
• Follow behavior support plans and assist with classroom management.
• Escort students to lunch and assist during meals and activities.
• Supervise students during recess, gym, field trips and bus routines.
• Support students in inclusive regular classes as directed by teachers.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions to update skills.
