Job summary

ResponsiveEd’s Instructional Aide in Lubbock, TX supports the Special Education teacher by assisting with the educational and social development of students with diverse needs. You will help implement IEPs and monitor progress.

Collaborating with therapists and campus staff, you’ll maintain records, schedule ARD/REED meetings, and ensure timely reporting of progress to parents. Immediate start for a full-time hourly role.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or GED.
• Experience working with students or parents is preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP/ARD processes and special education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of students under guidance of teachers and campus administration.
• Assist in implementing IEPs and monitor progress.
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, social workers, and therapists.
• Maintain student records.
• Attend ARD meetings and REEDs ensuring timelines are met.
• Assist in acquiring contracted service providers as needed.
• Ensure progress data informs effective services.
• Prepare and send IEP report cards to parents with general report cards.
• Plan resources to support general education teachers for students in special education.
