Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid TEA Paraprofessional Educational Aide Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Help teacher prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Assist students with physical disabilities according to their needs, including transfers and daily care.
• Assist with managing student behavior and safety; intervene as needed.
