Job summary

Eligibility requires an Associate degree or 72 college credits, or a current Highly Qualified Paraprofessional certification; First Aid/CPR certification is also required or substitutable.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 72 college credits required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required or substitution allowed.
• Experience working with children/youth in educational or behavioral settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with academic tasks and IEP goals in various settings.
• Implement behavior support strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist students in accessing instructional materials and routines in general education settings.
• Support students with mobility, hygiene, and personal care as needed."
• Provide 1:1 or small-group instructional support under supervision.
• Maintain professional demeanor and handle student information confidentially.
• Communicate with supervising teachers and school staff; participate in trainings.
