Job summary

The Camas School District is seeking a Paraprofessional to support high-need students in 1:1 or small group settings within special education programs. The role works 6.75 hours per day, Monday through Friday, assisting with IEPs and daily activities in coordination with teachers and staff.

Responsibilities include implementing adaptive materials, preparing instructional materials, and maintaining accurate records and progress data for student monitoring and reporting to educators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent OR AA/AS.
• 72 quarter/48 semester credits OR AA/AS.
• Pass the state paraprofessional exam.
• Sign language basics preferred.
• First aid/CPR certification recommended.
• Knowledge of MS Office and basic database entry.

Responsibilities

• Implement specialized or adaptive procedures and curriculum as instructed by teacher.
• Prepare and utilize materials for students.
• Implement IEPs as designated.
• Provide for physical needs of students (catheterization, bathrooming, lifting, transfers).
• Maintain records and collect student data.
• Provide progress reports to teacher.
• Support behavioral plans and adapt materials as needed.
• Facilitate independent work, social and self-help skills.
