Job summary

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Evidence of courses or experience in administration or supervision, special education, psychology or guidance.

Responsibilities

• Implement policies and regulations as required by state/federal laws and Medford School Committee.
• Coordinate referral process for special education evaluations and attendance.
• Oversee IEP development, monitoring compliance, progress reports and DESE reporting.
• Facilitate IEP Team meetings as chairperson and supervise team discussions.
• Coordinate transitions across grade levels and liaise with state agencies as needed.
• Provide expert instructional adaptations and staff professional development in special education.
