Job summary

Rochester Public Schools is hiring a Special Education ESP paraprofessional to support students with IEP goals at the school site. The role involves instructional assistance, behavior management, data collection, and collaboration with certified staff.

The position requires working 6.5 hours per day across an 180-day calendar and may include in-home or on-site duties as needed. Regular attendance and effective communication with staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 60 college credits and/or a two-year degree. Please include official transcript(s).
• In lieu of college credits or degree, Paraeducator Assessments may be used with passing scores of 65% and 70%.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with elementary age students is preferred.
• Computer skills are preferred.
• Flexibility and ability to work as a cooperative team member.
• Regular, on-time attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support and assist with implementing IEP goals under certified staff guidance.
• Collect data and communicate academic and behavioral progress to teachers and specialists.
• Support students with diverse needs, including behavioral and health-related tasks.
• Assist during meals, recess, and field trips; monitor and supervise as needed.
