Job summary

Rochester Public Schools is seeking a Special Education ESP paraprofessional to support students with disabilities under certified staff direction. The role includes instructional support, behavior management, health support, data collection, and progress communication.

Responsibilities include supervision before, during, and after school, meal times, field trips, and providing de-escalation support when needed. Strong teamwork and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• 60 college credits and/or a two-year degree required. Please include transcripts.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with elementary age students preferred.
• Flexibility and ability to work as part of a cooperative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support and assist with IEP objectives under supervision.
• Monitor and supervise students in lunchroom, playground, and other settings.
• Assist with data collection and communication of progress to teachers.
• Support students with personal cares as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
