Job summary

Regional School Unit 40 seeks flexible Educational Technicians (Ed Tech I–III) to support students across special education programs in Warren, Maine. The role is program-based, with duties across classrooms, programs, and schools based on student needs.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP goals and behavior plans, providing 1:1 and small group support, and collaborating with teachers and service providers to foster inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications

• Maine Ed Tech I, II, or III certification (or ability to obtain).
• Experience working with children (preferred).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to support across programs.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and responsive in dynamic situations.
• Commitment to student growth, inclusion, and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Support students in academic, behavioral, and functional skill development.
• Implement IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior plans.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support in a variety of settings.
• Assist with classroom routines, materials, and organization.
• Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and community-based activities.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with students.
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and program teams.
• Help create safe, structured, and inclusive learning environments.
