Job summary

RSU 40 in Midcoast Maine is seeking flexible Educational Technicians to support students across our special education programs. You will work as part of a collaborative team to provide academic, behavioral, and functional support to students with diverse needs in various classrooms and settings.

Ideal candidates will have Maine Ed Tech I/II/III certification (or ability to obtain), experience with children, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students in academic, behavioral, and functional skill development
• Implement IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior plans
• Provide 1:1 and small group support in a variety of settings
• Assist with classroom routines, materials, and organization
• Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and community-based activities
• Build positive, supportive relationships with students
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and program teams
• Help create safe, structured, and inclusive learning environments
