  • Address emergency calls and maintain confidentiality; provide general clerical support.

Primary Purpose

Education/Certification:

High school diploma or GED

3 year of clerical experience in an office setting

Major Responsibilities And Duties

Reception and Phones

  • Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
  • Create and maintain the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) calendar for each campus, adhering to State compliance requirements.
  • Call to collaborate on the meeting date and time with parents and/or guardians of the student for the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meeting.
  • Disseminate proper notices with parents, guardians, assessment team staff, and campus-based staff to schedule Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings once the date and time are agreed upon.
  • Document all parent contacts in the parent contact log and/or notice of ARD in the special education management system.
  • Call parents and/or guardians 48 hours prior to the ARD meeting to remember the meeting and to confirm their attendance.
  • Respond to emergency calls and notify appropriate parties to address immediate safety and/or security issues.
  • Receive deliveries and disseminate materials and information to the appropriate parties.
Other
  • Provide clerical assistance as needed.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals; multi-line phone system
