Job summary

Carroll County Schools in Georgia is seeking an enthusiastic Paraprofessional to assist the teacher in managing classroom activities and instructional support at assigned schools. Position requires direct interaction with students and adherence to district policy.

You will help prepare materials, use varied instructional techniques, maintain records, and support a positive learning environment. Paraprofessional Certificate from the Georgia PSC and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Possess and maintain a valid Paraprofessional Certificate issued by the Georgia PSC.
• Such alternatives to the above as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in meeting and instructing assigned classes in the location and at times designated.
• Assist the teacher in developing and maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the resources provided by the district
• Assist the teacher in preparing for classes assigned
• Assist the teacher in using a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the location and student needs
• Assist in maintaining accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and district policies
