Responsibilities

• Develop IEPs through ARD for each student
• Provide in-class or pull-out supports as per IEP
• Assess student strengths and needs; plan instruction accordingly
• Present material per IEP guidelines using diverse instructional media
• Collaborate with regular teachers to modify curricula
• Participate in ARD meetings regularly
• Assist in selecting books and instructional media
• Conduct ongoing assessments of achievement and behavior
• Support personal care and medical needs as required by IEP
• Lead or supervise extracurricular activities as assigned
• Communicate with parents and staff about progress and needs
• Maintain compliance with district and state SPED policies
