Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is seeking an instructional support aide to assist the Special Education Teacher in educating and developing students with disabilities. The role involves behavioral, instructional, and developmental support, and assisting with implementing behavior plans and IEPs.

The position requires high school completion with additional college credits or an AA degree, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to maintain confidentiality under FERPA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• AA degree OR 60 college credits OR approved Dysart exam.
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides behavioral, instructional, vocational and developmental assistance to students who are disabled as prescribed by the supervising teacher or other certified professional.
• Assists with behavior management programs including monitoring and charting behaviors specific to individual behavior plans.
• Maintains confidentiality per FERPA and assists with IEP implementation.
• Serves as a floater to various learning areas to support appropriate behaviors and respond to crisis calls.
